Julienne Francis
During the 1980’s Julienne attended printmaking classes at the Auckland Society of Arts, tutored by Carole Shepheard. Since then she has continued to attend Elam School of Art Summer Schools and Artstation, always carefully selecting the tutor and class to enlarge her skills and art philosophy. For Julienne printmaking is a slow build up of excitement combining many skills and ideas all of which come together at the final moment of running the matrix plate and paper through the etching press, then lifting the paper to see the result. Truly an act of masochism.

Pat Grove-Hills

A founding member of The Studio Printmakers (est.1990)- have participated in very many exhibitions both here and overseas. Work has encompassed etching in its various forms, woodcut, collograph, solar plate. A qualified Art Specialist Teacher, Pat has run Young Peoples Art Classes, and Adult Printmaking Workshops at The Lake House.

Diana Coleman

Diana started Printmaking in the late 1980's, attending classes at The Auckland Society of Arts, under the tutelage of Perry Davies. Then working with The Studio Printmakers since 1998, and participating in various group exhibitions in New Zealand and the United States of America.
The inspiration for her work comes from the natural world and her reaction to it. She has always collected shells, stones, feathers, flowers, seeds and grasses, bits of bone etc on walks from very young never returning empty handed.
Not literal or purely representational Diana’s work draws on what she sees, feels and holds in her memory about, or relating to the subject.

Carolyn Shaw

Carolyn trained at Coventry Polytechnic in Fine Art printmaking, later becoming a Teacher of Art to secondary students. She travelled the world four years ago and on arriving in New Zealand decided that this would be her permanent home.
Carolyn’s work has explored mans effect on the landscape for many years and continues to question and celebrate the evolving results. In New Zealand her work has become linked to the natural landscape, exploring the changes brought about by nature.
