Board Intern (Secretary Function) — Lake House Arts

Exciting opportunity to learn about governance and support a community arts organisation.

The Lake House Arts Trust Board is looking for an intern to assist the Board at meetings. Lake House Arts has a long and proud history as a provider of community arts services on the North Shore. The Lake House provides classes and school programmes, holds exhibitions, has a shop and café, and is a venue for hire. For more information, see the website: http://www.lakehousearts.org.nz/

The Board is looking for a person who is interested in gaining experience in governance in the arts to attend Board meetings and be responsible for helping draft the agenda, taking and finalising the minutes, and assisting the Board in other ways as required. The appointment would be for 12 months.

Ideal applicant:

  • Enthusiasm for the work of Lake House Arts;
  • Adept at dealing with confidential information;
  • Able to dedicate two hours per month to attending 6pm Board meetings in Takapuna and additional time for preparing agendas and finalising minutes; and
  • Aspirations to hold future community or governance roles.
